Cambridge - Our City

We believe that there is no better place to live and
study English than Cambridge.

University Atmosphere
Cambridge University is one of the world's oldest and most famous academic institutions. The cultural and social life of the city, with its Music, Film and Shakespeare Festivals, and the thousands of university students, contribute to making your stay a unique and very English experience.

Lots to See and Do
You could never be bored in Cambridge. Here you will find an enormous selection of clubs, pubs and restaurants; shops and boutiques; art galleries, museums, theatres and cinemas; some of the most stunning architecture in England; excellent sports facilities, and, most of all, the opportunity to make friends with fellow students from the university and throughout the world.

Centrally Located
Studio Cambridge is situated just 400 metres from the main railway station and 12 minutes' walk from the centre of Cambridge. The historic colleges and the River Cam are also just 10-15 minutes' away on foot. London is less than an hour away by train.

Studio Cambridge organises a variety of excursions, not just to London but to local historic towns and villages and to major cities such as Oxford, Bath, York, Stratford, Edinburgh and even Paris or Amsterdam.

A favourite way of seeing the city is by punt (a flat-bottomed boat moved along using a pole) on the River Cam, which flows through the historic heart of Cambridge. There are always lots of things to see and do, and we encourage our students to take full advantage of our unique social programme.
