STUDIO MAIN SCHOOL

Housed in beautiful Victorian buildings 24 classrooms Learning Centre Free Internet access (with WiFi connection) Video Room Activities Office Accommodation and Welfare Office Cafe Garden

This is our main adult centre where classes are taught from September to June. It comprises two beautiful Victorian buildings – number 5 and 6 Salisbury Villas - with ivy-covered walls and lovely gardens.

The school is located 200 metres from the Cambridge railway station and just 10 minutes’ walk from the city centre.

Classrooms
Our 24 classrooms are spacious, comfortable and bright. They are also equipped with a variety of audio and visual aids.

Learning Centre
The Learning Centre is a quiet place where you can study, read or borrow books, browse the latest newspapers, listen to audio cassettes and use our multimedia facilities.

The Learning Centre also contains computers with educational and other useful software.

We offer free internet access at the school to help you keep in touch with friends and family back home and with your classmates when they leave. You may use the Internet, MSN/Yahoo Messenger services and send/receive web-based emails free of charge.

We also provide WiFi connection for your personal laptop in many parts of the school and garden.

The Learning Centre also contains a small Language Laboratory. The laboratory consoles contain 'Tandberg' audio equipment and are used as part of the teaching programme or for private study sessions.

Video Room
We show a good mixture of educational and fictional films. These are an enjoyable way of developing your listening comprehension and, through discussion of the films, of using your speaking skills in an informal, relaxed atmosphere.

Student Services Office
This is where you meet to plan your afternoon, evening and weekend activities and excursions. The staff work full-time on organising a wide range of activities for you - from a party at the school to an evening at a London theatre, a tour of Scotland or an afternoon of golf, swimming or tennis, there is always something exciting to experience!

Accommodation and Welfare Office
Our staff are here to help you with any questions you might have regarding your personal welfare, whilst living in Cambridge. There is also a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week telephone number for use in emergencies.

Cafe Studio
Open Monday to Friday for breakfast, lunch and snacks, the cafe is used by Studio students and British students from nearby colleges. The chef provides traditional English food and a choice of international dishes and vegetarian options. The food is varied and of very good quality.

In the evenings, the cafe is often used for parties, discos and singing evenings. At any time, it is a great place for you to relax and meet friends.

During In July and August, classes are held at the renowned Hills Road Sixth Form College (HRSFC). Located just 10 minutes’ walk from our Main School, and 15 minutes walk from the city centre

HRSFC has superb modern facilities, including:
