Accommodation on English Language and Activity Programmes at Studio Cambridge
Sir George course accommodation and meals
Only homestay accommodation is available on the Sir George courses. Residential accommodation is not available.
Sir George course accommodation facts:
- A bedroom, either a single room or shared by two Studio students of the same gender who do not speak the same language
- A shared bathroom
- All meals included (weekday lunch taken at school)
- Laundry once per week
- A change of bed linen and towels once per week
Homestay accomodation is provided in homes located within the city of Cambridge. We cannot guarantee the distance away from the school but it is likely to be no more than 30 minutes by bus, bicycle or on foot. Students taking the homestay option should be prepared to travel independently to and from the school.
Meals
Breakfast and dinner is provided by you hosts. Lunches on class days are provided at the course centre. At weekends packed lunches are provided.
Evenings
On the Sir George programme there are no evening activities organised for students. Students can go out in the evenings but must return home by 23:00 at the latest. Students who fail to return on time will be reported to the school by their hosts. This is an important rule for us and returning late is considered serious misconduct and action will be taken.
Free time
It is important to note that Homestay students on the Sir George course will have some free time and independence - especially on Sundays, which are free days and in the evenings.
Laundry
Your host will wash your clothes for you at least once each week. Bed linen is provided and will also be changed and washed once each week.
