Our St Edmund course takes place in King's School, Ely, which is an private boarding school. Its staff
are experienced in caring for children of all ages and nationalities
whilst they are away from their families.
There
is space for approximately 100 students to live on campus. The accommodation is traditional, with large, comfortable bedrooms for between 2 and 8 students.
Boys
and girls sleep in different "houses" around the campus.
Our own staff also live on-campus. Each "house" has its own Studio wardens and there is a high staff-to-students ratio. Laundry is washed, and bed linen and towels are changed twice each week.
There
are modern shared bathroom and shower facilities, in each house and each house also has its own comfortable common room.
Benefits of St Edmund residential accommodation
All staff live at the course centre providing 24-hour
care for students.
We
keep the staff-to-student ratios high, at approximately 1:7,
and
the Studio office is never far away if you have any questions
or need help.
Laundry
Laundry is washed once a week by King's school staff.
Rooms
are cleaned and beds changed every week.
Meals
All meals are served in the magnificent mediaeval beamed dining hall.
The food merits special mention: the last official school inspection judged the food to be “exceptional”. Meals are nutritious, balanced and appetising. A full English cooked breakfast is available every day and a selection of hot dishes, always with a vegetarian option, in addition to the salad bar, is offered at lunch and supper time every day. All meals are included in the course fees.
