Studio
Language and Activity Programmes
for Young Learners
|
Our
English Language and Activities division has the responsibility
to design and manage courses for young people, aged 10 - 20
years. Over the years, our courses have earned an international
reputation for high academic standards, close supervision,
personal care of participants, and fun - lots of fun.
Choice
of Locations
There are many attractive cities and towns in Britain. We
believe, however, that our programmes in Cambridge, Ely and Bishop's
Stortford provide the ideal combination of exciting locations
with safety and security.
Personal
Care and Attention
Studio is privately owned. We are not part of a multi-centre
group or "chain" of schools. 80% of our students come through
the personal recommendation of past students or of Education
Counsellors overseas (not from advertising or marketing campaigns)
Our
main concern is for our students' safety and wellbeing. All
Studio course centres are managed by a Course Director, Assistant
Course Directors and a Welfare Officer. A team of teachers and
administrative staff report to the Director and each student
is given the individual care and attention he or she deserves.
All
students are covered by a Travel / Medical insurance policy
for the full duration of the course. There is a 24-hour, 7 days
a week, telephone number for use in emergencies.
Studio
is accredited by the British Council and is a founder member
of English UK. We are also a member of the British government's
"Education UK" initiative.

Christopher
Roberts - Chairman

Has been with Studio for more than 35 years. During that
time the school was accredited by the British Council,
authorised by Cambridge University (UCLES) to offer the
CELTA examination, and became the largest language school
in Cambridge.
Malcolm Mottram - Managing Director
Malcolm has managed English language schools in the UK
and USA for 25 years but is now at home in
Studio:
“While
it keeps up to date with the latest teaching methodology,
Studio is and will always be a traditional institution
that respects the commitment of its students and takes
pride in their achievements”.
Richard Mountford - Operations Director
Richard has been at Studio for over 12 years and is responsible for everything that happens to
students from the moment they arrive to when they return
home:
“A good language school must have good teaching. But
it is much more than that. Students’ security and personal
wellbeing, comfortable accommodation, an active and interesting
social life, and international friendships are just as
important as effective teaching.”
Nicole
Kennedy - Sales Director
Nicole has been at Studio for over 10 years and leads a team of professionals in the Sales and
Customer Services departments:
“Our
most important responsibility is to ensure that we do
what we say we will do. Every aspect of the student’s
experience at Studio should be positive, educational and
enjoyable and my colleagues and I are responsible for
ensuring that is the case.”
Sharon
Warner - Head of Accommodation
Sharon has been at Studio for over 10 years and is responsible for all student homestay accommodation and welfare issues. She ensures that you feel comfortable, happy
and relaxed during your stay in the UK.
“We take great care in choosing the right accommodation
for our students. All homestay hosts are inspected and
visited regularly and we are in constant contact with
them and our students to make sure that it is an enjoyable
experience for them both. A friendly and comfortable home
is essential to a successful course.”
