What
do Studio Cambridge Course fees include?

When
should I arrive in England?
Our courses run from Monday to Saturday. Therefore
we encourage you to arrive on the Sunday before the course
starts and depart on the Sunday at the end of your course.
What
happens if I can't arrange flights to arrive or depart on
Sunday?
You can arrive on other days and still join the courses
but this will usually be more expensive. Your accommodation
is booked from Sunday to Sunday and a transfer is only free
if you arrive / depart on a Sunday. Arriving or departing
on any other day will mean an extra cost applies.

- accredited by the British Council
- a founder member of English UK
-
a member of the British government's 'Education UK' initiative
Is
Studio a recognised academic institution?
Established in 1954, Studio Cambridge is the oldest English
language school in Cambridge. We are an accredited centre
for the University of Cambridge examinations and authorised
to offer the Cambridge CELTA courses. Under the direction
of the Principal and Director of Studies, our teachers are
experienced, qualified and enthusiastic.
How
carefully does Studio select its accommodation?
Studio attaches great importance to the selection and continuous
assessment of accommodation, both in homestays and in student
residences. Our Accommodation and Welfare staff are committed
to providing you with the highest standards of comfort and
security.
See our family
accommodation page in the Services (button left)
section of this site.
Is Studio privately owned or part of a 'chain'?
Studio Cambridge is privately owned. We are not part of a
multi-centre group or "chain" of schools. 80% of our students
come through the personal recommendation of past students
or of Education Counsellors overseas, not from advertising
or marketing campaigns.
Is
Studio the right size?
A small school would be unable to provide the range of courses
which you need. A large school can be impersonal - a place
where you will be lost in the crowd. On average, Studio has
between 150 and 200 students present on each course timetable,
at any one time. This is the optimum size. It provides the
ideal social environment, whilst allowing us to treat you
with the personal attention you deserve.
Is
Studio in the right place?
There are many attractive cities and towns in Britain. We
believe, however, that Cambridge, Ely
and Bishop's
Stortford are the ideal places for the international student
- not just to study but to sample real English life. They
are both historic towns, with lots to see and do and a welcoming
attitude. They are in easy travelling distance from London
and several international airports.
Do
I have full and accurate information?
In writing this website, we have tried to be as accurate and
detailed as we can. We hope that you will find all the information
you need. However, where you study English is an important
decision, so please contact
us if you have any doubts or need further explanations.
