Course Summary

The University of Cambridge CELTA certificate

Studio Cambridge is recognised by Cambridge English Language Assessment examinations as an approved centre for teaching the Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).

Our CELTA certificate courses are run twice a year, in November and February. They are full-time, day time courses, lasting a full 4 weeks. Candidates are assessed on their teaching of students from a range of nationalities and on written assignments.  Candidates should be 18 or over, have an awareness of language and a high competence in both written and spoken English that will enable them to undertake the course and eventually teach a range of levels. They should also demonstrate the potential to develop the necessary skills to become effective language teachers.

No previous ELT experience is necessary. On successful completion of the course, participants are awarded the Cambridge English Language Assessment CELTA certificate

IMPORTANT: Admission to this course is subject to an initial personal interview. As we require a candidate to be assessed before being accepted on a course, you should not enrol online for the CELTA. You are then required to pay a £150 registration fee.  Please contact us by email, fax or phone if you are interested in attending the course or require further details.
