What can you expect from Sir Laurence?

Ages 13 to 16  | Cambridge | Open June 30th – August 4th 2024

Sir Laurence is a summer camp for students aged 13-16 of intermediate level and above.  It combines 28 lessons (21 hours) of general English teaching per week with a full programme of interesting activities and excursions.

Our Sir Laurence camp has been running since 2009, giving children and teenagers an opportunity to learn more about Cambridge University life.

The camp is located in central Cambridge, where we use the facilities and residences of Lucy Cavendish College, one of the 31 colleges of Cambridge University.  This is an ideal centre for our 13-16 year old students who are looking for a small campus course, in the centre of Cambridge, with a taste of university life and a very personal atmosphere. Only individuals or small groups of friends are allowed at this camp, so it is ideal for students travelling by themselves or with a friend.

We currently have 15 different nationalities enrolled on the Sir Laurence camp in 2024!

The City of Cambridge

Cambridge is one of the most famous, and most instantly recognised, city names in the world. It has been a centre of learning for 800 years and is the international symbol of academic excellence.

But it is also fun! With 20,000 university students, virtually the only “business” of Cambridge is education and, despite its age, the whole city is designed for young people.

It is the ideal place for the international English language student.
