This month we interviewed Marcela from Argentina and Eleonora from Italy.
What are your names and where are you from?
I'm Marcela from Argentina.
I'm Eleonora from Italy.
Which course are you doing?
E: The FCE course.
So far, what do you like most about Studio?
M: The rhythm and the multi culture.
E: Everyone is here to learn English so teachers don’t mind if you say something wrong, they help you.
What do you think about the teaching methods that we use?
M: It’s an active methodology that allows me to speak, read and listen to a lot of activities in every class. We have movies, songs and a lot of multimedia.
E: Use of videos and computers is good for listening. Videos with subtitles are also helpful.
Has your English improved?
E: I think so, I hope so! I think a lot because before I came I was terrible, now I try to speak more English.
What do you think of the activities we have to offer? Which ones are your favourites?
M: I think that they are interesting. I prefer movies, punting and dance. I recommend more activities with English information: recipes, plants etc.
E: They are a good way to improve English and meet people to practice and make new friends. My favourites are bowling and cookie decoration.
What else would you like to see in the activity schedule?
M: Conferences with people speaking English.
E: More pizza and movie nights and more action films.
What is your favourite thing about Cambridge?
M: Anglia Library- Colleges and concerts!!
E: I like it because it’s small so it’s possible to go everywhere in 20 minutes, and I really like the parks.
How is Cambridge similar/different to your city?
M: The weather. The multicultural atmosphere and the food.
E: Cambridge is very different. There are more parks in Cambridge. You have to drive everywhere in Palermo, here it is great to walk everywhere.
What do you think the advantages of living in a Homestay are?
M: We feel like we live in a family. They help us a lot when you are ill because of the weather.
E: It is better because it’s a good way to improve English.

M: Trips and what to do in Cambridge.
