This month we interviewed Sena from Turkey and Jianxin from China.
Which course are you doing?
J: The FCE course
So far, what do you like most about Studio?
S: It has a very friendly atmosphere.
J: Studio Cambridge is a good language school, the teachers and staff are all friendly, I like them.
What do you think about the teaching methods that we use?
S: Its very good, they have everything, but I prefer to use books over computers.
J: They are all very useful, good way to study English. But for me I think the course is the most important thing. The teachers ability is the key point at Studio.
Has your English improved?
S: Yes, Of course!
J: Yes, it has.
What do you think about British people? Are they different from people in your country?
S: Actually every British person (almost) has been very kind!
J: British people are so nice and friendly.
What do you think of the activities we have to offer? Which ones are your favourites?
S: Volleyball is my favourite activity!
J: I love cinema night.
What is your favourite thing about Cambridge? (and favourite place to go)
S: Every weekend we go to the nightclub! Its very good and very fun with all of my new friends.
J: Making new friends. My favourite places are around the University, they are so beautiful.
How is Cambridge similar/different to your city?
S: Cambridge is very different to my city, my city is a lot bigger
J: It’s a lot different!
What do you think the advantages of living in a Homestay/Residence are?
S: I prefer to stay with a homestay. I wanted to know how English families lived, and now I know.
J: I have found my perfect homestay family!
What do you talk about or do with your Host (family)/housemates?
S: We talk about every topic. My homestay family is very friendly. I’m very lucky.
What are the differences between life in the UK family and at home?
S: Now, when I am here in the UK I feel very free.
J: It is completely different. You can do anything here.
What sort of food do you eat in Cambridge? Is that what you expected to eat?
S: The food here is really good!
J: I am really enjoying English food.
How does the food here compare to food in your country?
S: The food is different. Its healthier here!
J: Trying all the food in Cambridge has been a good experience. I like it.
How do you travel around Cambridge and why?
S: I use the bus because I live in Cherry Hinton. The bus is very easy to use.
J: I love to travel around Cambridge. I use all transport.
