The Krantikaris are coming to Cambridge

9th June 2017

We are so proud to welcome the Krantikari girls to Studio Cambridge. The girls will be performing Laal Batti (“Red Light”) Express a one-of-a-kind production about their lives as young women from Mumbai’s infamous red-light area. The play has a train theme that follows the young women through their past, present, and the change they hope to bring to the future. The emphasis on developing the show has been to enable the girls to transcend their trauma and move towards collective healing.

They have already performed for over 100,000 people in India! In 2015, they performed in six
different cities and dozens of venues in the US, including schools, prisons, NGOs for
trafficked teens, and even at Google and Facebook Headquarters.
By telling their stories, they have changed their audiences' mindsets about themselves, their mothers, and their community. Now, they take their stories to the United Kingdom!

If you would like to attend their performance please get in touch with Layla Evans to get your free tickets to the show. The show will be on 23rd June at 2:15pm at Studio Cambridge.

Please note that tickets to the production are free but we are doing a Crowdfund to send the all girls to a nice meal in Cambridge after the show. If you would like to donate towards their evening in Cambridge please click on the link here or if you wish to fund the troop itself you can donate here.
