Christmas in Cambridge

5th December 2017

Our doors will be closed from Friday 15th of December to the 2nd of January 2018 to all our students.

But if you are staying in Cambridge during the festive period be sure to tick off these holiday activities off your list.

Christmas Pantomime in Cambridge

A yearly pantomime performance is a cultural activity one must partake in whilst in the UK!

Pantomimes have nothing do with Christmas, so don’t expect a rendition of the Nutcracker. They are musical comedies usually based on children’s stories, like Cinderella or Aladdin. Pantos do not always follow the original script, and they are narrated with references to other well-known stories. A night at the Panto guarantees bellies full of laughs for everyone! The Cambridge Arts Theatre has shows beginning from December until mid-January. Check out this year’s performance based on Jack and the beanstalk here.

Christmas Carols in Cambridge

Christmas carols sung by the King’s College Choir are not to be missed. The world famous choir singing yule tide hymns will truly bring a song to your heart. You can see their schedule here.

Christmas Quiz in Cambridge

Who doesn’t love a quiz at the local! Pub quizzes are the stuff of legend in Cambridge where locals and tourists gather together in order to win the mind race over a pint. A perfect way to spend a cold winter's eve. It's a fantastic way to meet new and interesting people so don't be afraid to get stuck in!

Ice skating in Parkers peace

Skate your cares away at Cambridge’s very own open air ice rink. You can find the rink in Parkers Piece  in the centre of Cambridge, with plenty of space to skate and enjoy the stunning city views. If you're not a fan of skating, revelers can also enjoy other fun holiday activities in a truly beautiful and festive setting.

Cambridge offers activities for people of all ages during the festive period, we hope you enjoy all the festivities, treats and fun throughout this very special time.
