Five interesting lectures and seminars 

Over 20 lessons/3  hours per day, you’ll explore Cambridge from five unique and engaging perspectives:

  • Cambridge as a centre of history
    Discover how Cambridge has shaped – and been shaped by – some of the most significant events and figures in British history
  • Cambridge as a centre of eccentrics and innovators
    Meet the unconventional minds who have defied expectations and pioneered bold new ideas – in true Cambridge spirit
  • Cambridge as a centre of art
    Enjoy a fresh perspective on Cambridge’s artistic heritage – from medieval stained glass to contemporary exhibitions
  • Cambridge as a centre of science
    Delve into the scientific discoveries that changed the world – from Newton’s laws to the double helix and beyond.
  • Cambridge as a centre of literature
    Explore the lives and works of writers connected with the city, and how its atmosphere has inspired generations of literary talent

Cultural activities to enrich your experience

In addition to classroom learning, you’ll take part in a varied and engaging cultural programme designed to bring Cambridge to life:

  • 3 afternoon activities 
    These may include walking tours, college visits, museum visits or even a trip to the Botanic Garden.
  • 2 evening activities
    Enjoy a variety of relaxed social or cultural events – from a gentle punt along the River Cam to dinner at the Eagle, a historic pub in Cambridge’s city centre, which is famously linked to Watson and Crick’s discovery of DNA.

The activities are not compulsory – you can decide to attend the lecture programme only – see prices tab above.
